Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
Hey,
What is the verdict on this?
My 4 day year old is very resistant to sleeping in his crib. I am guessing it is very overwhelming and too big for him. He will nap in it sometimes, but really does not like it.
We have been getting alot of use out of our graco sweetpeace thank goodness, but he really needs to be in that crib.
We are going to take out the pack n play and use the bassinett part of it. I did not want to resort to this though.
Any suggestions for getting your newborn to sleep in his crib, if you are not using the sleep positioner?

We used a sleep positioner and swaddled Kaydyn from day 1. She was also in her crib from the 2nd night home. She didn't like the pack and play.

Re: Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
I do use a sleep positioner and I have since day 1. The only advice I can give you is do what works. In the beginning DD napped in her swing A LOT. If we had a difficult night I would let her sleep in there. Now she naps/sleeps in her crib only(when we are home). HTH

Re: Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
YES, we love the sleep positioner. DD is still sleeping in the bassinet, but we even use it in there because she loves it. At 2 months, she is sleeping in 6-7 hour clips at night! We'll be transitioning her to the crib soon, and I really think having the positioner is going to help a LOT. As you said, especially when they are so little, the big space of the crib is overwhelming to them.
Definitely try it out!

Re: Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
yup used one since day 1....dd ended up having acid reflux and could not stand to be laying flat on her back so we decided to get the inclined sleep positioner for when she was in the bassinett....now she is in her crib and we got the crib wedge but kept the old regular sleep positioner in there too bc she likes to wiggle all of the crib an dit keeps her semi in one place

Re: Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
5months old here..
STILL using the positioner.
During the day at daycare she used the positioner up to 4months then we took it away.
She's fine either way, but we prefer the positioner at night because she seems to fall asleep sounder and longer with it. She also doesn't get caught up in the bars as much when she sleeps on the positioner.

Re: Are you mommies using sleep positioners?
Yup, using it and love it.
It really gives the baby a sense of security and comfort, kinda like someone is holding them. It also prevents them from moving about.
Swaddling also helps of course but for babies who don't like that, the sleep positioner really helps.
