Depends on your comfort level and his weight and your car seat. We plan to keep our children in a 5 point harness as long as possible so long as their height and weight are supported by the seat.

Your DS? I think he is on the smaller side, huh?
I'd say carseat!

It depends on the size of the child. My friends DD is 3 and just after her birthday they put her in the Graco Turbo Booster. She's not a big kid, but average, and the Evenflo Triumph they had was getting uncomfertable for her.

We are going to put DD in a booster this week. We are gonna go with the Britax Frontier.
She is taller than most 2 year olds and we think she'll be much more comfortable in this seat. She will be 3 in January.

I am switching to a Booster seat after Christmas, my son complains about how his bum hurts in his carseat at the moment. He will be three.

I just had this whole debate with my DH tonight. My DD will be 3 in March and she's in a Boulevard. I went ahead and ordered the Marathon and I'm keeping her in her Boulevard until she's 65lbs. He still wants to move her into a booster but I think it's too soon.

Re: At 4 yrs old do you think DS will be in a Booster Seat?
DS is very close to 50th percentile for height, and just a hair lower for weight. He's 5.5 and still in the Britax Boulevard. He's getting a little tall, but he'll be in it for at least a few more months. Probably his 6th b-day we'll put him in a booster seat. He seems to be growing a lot lately.
