At how many months do they start holding the bottle on their own?

My DS never did. I'm sure he COULD, but he didn't do it.
On the up side of that, he was totally off the bottle at 12 months

Um, never. Seriously. At 11.5 months I started laying DS flat on his back and even then he protested. Bottles were gone by 13 months. Thank god!

Big heads and stubborn personalities. They really are two of a kind.

Add Sadie!!!
Although she was never a "bottle" fiend. She could really still take them or leave them and I cant wait to take her to her one year visit so I can ditch them.

DS is 6.5 months and CAN, when I lie him down w/ it, but he likes me to hold it for him.
My ped. has it on their checklist as a thing to be done by 9 mos.

I would too but I am paranoid about whole milk with all the formua issues she had. She still drinks nutramigen but does fine with yogurt and cheese.
