At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
DS is a little over 3 weeks old and wakes up every 3-3.5 hours in the middle of the night for a diaper change and feeding. I saw some moms post that their newborns are sleeping 6+ hours straight. When can i expect/hope that this will start to happen. I'm so sleep deprived that i want to cry.
ps - i know the trick is to sleep whenever the baby sleeps but i have too much going on for that to even be a possibility.

trust me - exhaustion will catch up with you and you will eventually sleep when he does.
emma JUST STARTED sleeping well - once we found out about dreamfeeding.
also - now she rolls onto her tummy and wow - what a difference! we get a MINIMUM of 6 hours if not 8 - 10!!!!!!
(eta - she's 5 months tues)

DD dropped the 3:30am feeding at 6 weeks so she was sleeping 10-6.

Either they are lucky or they lie if they say their baby sleeps through the night at 3 months mine didn't until just shy of 6 months, then she gradually worked her way up to 12 hours a night It will come!!!

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
DD was about 4 months old when she really slept well at night.
But we had to wake her every 4 hours to feed her, per our ped.
How are you feeling?

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
well you said longer not STTN...
My son started sleeping 7 hours at 5 and 1/2 weeks old. We had a few times he woke for a feed after 5 hours, but it was 7+ hours almost consistently at that point.
the 10+ hours, I dont know when that came to be honest. To me 7 hrs was STTN and I was thrilled. LOL
It WILL COME!!!
My twins are 4 weeks old and went 5 and 5 and 1/2 hrs last night...and were preemies so I think its totally dependant on the babies and situations...
Hang in there

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
My DD is 11 weeks old. Since the beginning of October she has been doing 10pm-5am. The past 2 weeks I cut out her 10pm bottle, put her down at 8:30 and don't hear from her till 4:30ish, give her a binky and she goes back down till 7:30. I give her a bottle at 8 am.

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
My DD is 6 weeks and we get about 5 - 6 hours, (eats and goes to sleep between 9 - 10 and gets up between 2 - 3) then 3 - 4 hours (gets up again between 6 - 7) she is then up for about an hour and a half. Two nights we had 7 hours but she is finally napping during the day the past 2 days so I am curious to see if she sleeps long now at night!!

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
last night my LO went from 9-2, had a bottle, then back down until 7am. Shes 6 weeks old, so I feel like two 5 hour stretches is reasonable :)
she doesnt have a consistent bedtime though, and we're working on that.
the night before she wouldnt go to bed until 130am
she went down at 10pm the night before that

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
My DD is 10.5 weeks and normally goes down for the night at around 8:30-9:00 and wakes up between 3:30 and 4:30 every night. She is back down withing a half hour and sleeps until 7:30ish. Sometimes she'll go back down for a bit longer, but usually she will stay up for about an hour and a half and then go down for a nap.

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
Around 6 weeks she started 4-5 hour stretches of sleep at night. At 8 weeks she was going 6-7 hour stretches and by 10 weeks she was doing 8+ hour stretches (8:30pm-5am, eats and goes back til 8am). She is 11+ weeks now and for the last few days she's been sleeping 8:30pm to 7am-ish!

Re: At how many weeks did your LO start sleeping longer through the night?
geez i'm still waiting for consistent long stretches! DS is 15 weeks. every night is a crap shoot. i never know what it's going to be. sometimes its 8pm to 12am or only 11:30pm or more or less... and then again sometime 4-5 hours later maybe between 4am-5:30am. it's so annoying to me b/c i don't know what kind of night i am in for. and it's ALWAYS 2 night feedings that's the only consistent thing about it. i am dreaming of a full night's sleep one day....one day....
