at what age did dc sleep over...(help)

At what age was the first time your dc slept over someone else's house...including grandparents & aunts/uncle?

My SIL and MIL keeps harassing dh and I asking when can dd spend the night. DH and I both have mixed feelings...neither one is totally comfortable yet (dd is 13 months) and yet we both know she would be safe...IDK
I need opinions and to hear what other have done...

Ummm...2 months old. LOL. I was freakin out but it was totally worth it.

I think DS was about 6 weeks old when he slept over my ILs. DH and I were in need of sleep and it was well worth it! I think we fell asleep at 10:00 and woke up at 10:00 AM the next morning

3 months. I was fine with it. He was with my mom. He stays at mil all the time. Yay!

This weekend will be DD first over night at my MIL's house - she will almost be 2 months old

4 months. She stayed with my sister overnight because we were going to Manhattan for my SIL's bday and weren't coming home til 3am

When when she was almost 6 months. Now she loves staying with my parents.

DD stayed with my parents when she was 2.5 mths. but she is 4 and has yet to have a sleepover with anyone else , even my sister.

so I guess I need to suck it up and let my SIL have her for the weekend.
I just get so nervous...all the what ifs
My dh is just as bad if not worse!

My MIL can't have a sleepover at her house...

My SIL has a big beautiful house but is a germaphobic to the point where she will not allow dd to crawl on the floor because its too dirty (it really isn't bad)...so I told dh if she can get over the fear of letting dd get a little dirty because there is no keeping her in a play pen all day or holding her all day then I don't see why not...

I know she would be safe...I just don't know how I would handle the night...I got to get over this

I still have not had my kids sleep over anywhere without us there. DS is 3. My parents have come here to watch them when we were not home.

Not sure exactly, but he started somewhere around 4-6 mos. Only at my parents house. Recently at his cousinshouse in Westchester, he wanted tobecause he loves his cousins and his uncle steve that he is very close to was staying over too, DS is 4 yrs old. I was alittle freaked about that one.

at one month old she slept over at my mom's house because we were moving, and it was easier to pack when it was just my DH and I. She did great, and has slept there a bunch of times since! My mom's house is the only place I am comfortable leaving her though.

My parents and inlaws won't keep the kids overnight until they sleep through the night. I think the first time DS #1 slept over was maybe 8 months, though I really don't remember. DS #2 is almost 6 months and hasn't slept out yet. Wehave a wedding in Vermont in October, so that will be the first time at about 8 months. But that is their rule, not mine. I would have done it much sooner if I had the opportunity.

Umm, 22 months! There was absolutely no reason for her to sleep overnight anyplace other than her own home prior to that. If DH and I hadn't been planning to go away for our wedding anniversary she would not have slept over then either. Personally I would not have DD sleep over anywhere for the sake of sleeping over.

about 6 weeks, she was with my mom so I was completely comfortable with it.

DD was 10 months when she had her one and only sleep over at Grandma and Pop Pop's because DH and I went away for one night for our 30th birthdays. She will have another one at 17 months because we have a wedding in the city. I hate them. I hate not having her under the same roof as me.

It was actually the night before his first birthday. The next morning was my mom's wake and we had a lot to do and be at the funeral home early. My MIL offered to take Landon for the night and although I wasn't ready for him to spend the night somewhere without us, we let him stay there. It was fine.

3 months at my MIL's when we had a wedding. Now he is 13 months and so much aware, and would be much worse--I don't know if he'd sleep there now since he is so used to his own crib (on vaca. he'll only sleep in bed w/ us).

DH & I are spending the night in Manhattan for our anniversary...Charlie will spend the night at my SILs house and she will be (almost) 27 months
We've never had reason or desire to leave her overnight with anyone...

DS slept at my moms at 9 months old so that we could go to a wedding. I was a nervous wreck, but it was great to sleep in the next morning!

DD has stayed at my inlaws for babysitting purposes-i.e. we had an out of town wedding, we stopped at the inhales and she stayed there for 1 night (several night with us, 1 night without us).

I think that is it, normally, they come to us and stay at our house if they need to watch her.

We don't do regular sleepovers yet-DD is 3, DS is 9 months.

When he was STTN... I think around 8 months? Might have been sooner, I don't remember!
