In my family also, one per baby...
except 2 years ago, my SIL was surprised to be pregnant...after giving away all of her baby stuff (crib,clothes ,etc.) - she had a 9 yo and a yo...
so we threw her a sprinkle....

i can understnad a suprise "sprinkle" where the person did not reguster but the child is a different sex and people buy thme clothes accessories etc.
but a fully planned big shower for a second baby, im totalyl against

My family it is first born, first wedding.
BUT things happen. Children by a different father with no prior children or second wedding where it is the other spouses first marriage.
If someone chooses to have a 2nd shower/sprinkle I would never hold it against them. Life's to short to worry about those types of things.
