Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
Those of you that have HE machines (front-load washers), what detergent do you/do you plan to use for baby? I thought All Free & Clear came in a HE formula, but I can't find it anywhere!!!!! My mom & I have looked in like 5 stores, I could have sworn I saw it before I had an HE machine.
The only thing I found today at Wal-Mart was Tide Free HE, which says no dyes or fragrances. Anyone use this?

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
I am using one I got from WHole Foods. I also bought Dreft and figure I'll just use a lot less...

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
DH and I were discussing this. We bought the Dreft (even thought it's not HE) and agreed to be really careful with the amount that goes in with each load and only for the baby clothes.
I would think that Tide Free HE should be fine. Thanks for mentioning it actually - we should consider this too.

you should never use detergent that doesn't have the HE logo on it....my MIL just did that and ruined her machine.
to answer your question I was having the SAME problem. I looked everywhere and I finally found it at a random drug store out here in NJ. It is "All Free & Clear" for HE machines. Keep looking everywhere you go and you'll find it!!! If you get desperate you can probably order it online and have it shipped to you.
Also, the Tide Free HE that you mentioned is great also.

DUH, I should have read the bottle
I know some of the small All bottles (the mighty ones) say HE on them, but not the white free & clear one.

Thank you, I could have SWORN I saw the white bottle, All Free & Clear with the HE logo in Wal-Mart like 2 weeks ago (I use All and was buying the Free & Clear, but didn't need the HE at the time since we just got our new machines yesterday). We have looked in CVS, 2 Wal-Marts, Waldbaum's, and somewhere else, and I can't find it!!!!! Ugh!!! But you've given me hope that it's out there, that I wasn't imagining it!! Thanks

We use All Free & Clear HE - we order it from drugstore.com.
It's the only place we can find it too.

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
We use All Free and Clear- and on the bottle it says "for use in all washing machines include HE". We have an HE washer, and have used only this type of detergent for over a year. We've had no problems.

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
Thanks so much for posting this...after I responded I went over to LG's site to review the manual and it says only HE detergents...I am returning the Dreft and getting the All Free and Clear.
I would flip if I messed up the machine.

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
I am using Dreft in my washer only for baby stuff. My manual said I could use it, but to only use a little. Not what I would use for a regular machine

Re: Baby Detergent Question- High Efficiency
Target sells a brand called Method. They make a detergent that is for HE washers. This is what I use on DD clothes.
