I'm sorry, but you've been obsessing about names for what seems like your entire pregnancy and now that you have a healthy baby girl. You're getting upset that people are tired of giving you their opinion, because quite frankly at this point the whole thing is laughable. You had polls, you had posts...it's over, the baby is here. Do you know how many women would kill to be in your position? Name your kid Regina Fellange or Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. I don't know it you're looking for confirmation that the name Rebecca is a great name or if you're looking for a reason to change, but please for the love of all that is good in this world stop obsessing about this. And, if you want to obsess, don't get mad that people find it funny at this point.

FTR. my MIL changed my BIL's Hebrew name when he was 3 months old. Who the heck names a baby after a dead person and then changes their mind about which dead person? She did it in order to name him after someone who died after he was born but doing that goes against every single superstition (not the religion but superstition in the culture). He was issued a name at his bris and she then insulted anyone who may have been close with the original deceased person.
I still think about whether I should have picked a different spelling for my son's name but even when I was in the hospital I told myself that I had already gone through the indecision and DH and I picked the spelling & it was time to just leave the other spelling behind!!!!! The other spelling has a totally different meaning in Gaellic and I like BOTH meanings, so I could have really gone on with this forever. I just refuse to give it more than a passing thought & I love DS's name.

Solution: Have another child, have gender determination, name her Claire, and tell Rebecca that you like Claire's name better.
I mean really, you're accusing us of being insensitive, but your posts are just as ludicrous as this one. Questions about headbands are not even close to the same level as a baby's name. Make your decision, move on. If you post here about it over and over, you're going to get people's opinions.
