Bath options for very ACTIVE almost 4 month old?

I have a question....

DD is almost 4 months old and holds her head well and is a very active infant... kicking her legs and arching her back... all sorts of movement.

Well tonight I was giving her a bath in her Fisher Price blue bathtup with the foam bear in it which usually keeps her in place. She's learned kicking the water and splashing mommy is fun (she giggled every time)... she also scared the living nonsense out of me when she started to arch her back and move around and try to sit forward almost falling off of the seat part! She could easily have gotten hurt. I know you can put the baby tub in the big tub to help with splashing, but how do you keep them from trying to move off of the seat? I was wondering if it was too soon for one of those things that you put in the big tub and they just sit in it. Don't know what it's called.

I have a 4 month old that is over 18lbs and also pretty active, I tossed my tub and got this. We love it. I feel like she is more secure( not slipping and sliding) and it sits deeper in the sink. She can not go anywhere.
BTW: it folds up so small too!

I put my DD in this bath seat at 4 months old. She did great in it. She LOVED sitting up playing with her sister in the tub.

Here a couple pictures of her in it at 4 months old. She would lean back and lean forward to play.

Guess i'm making another trip to BRU tomorrow! I like these options much better. Just a shame - the one I have is supposed to last through toddler years.

I second this. I use this now all the time. I'm about to toss the tub. This is so much easier...no bending and folds up in a cinch.

This is the tub we used too, the Eurobath. It is very secure for active babies (both of mine were huge kickers/splashers!) and you can have them sit in the other side when they are able to sit up on their own.
