Bathroom renovAtion cost
How much did your bathoom renovation cost for a small bathroom with nothing crazy ( no knocking down walls,moving things etc ) just ripped to the studs and built back up.

That could really depend on the materials you choose such as tile and bathroom fixtures. Also, if there are any issues with plumbing or mold - that could raise the cost. I really don't think there is anyway to compare what it cost one person vs another.

I got 2 quotes for our 5x8 bathroom completely gutted and redone. One company was $15k one was $17k soup to nuts.
We ended up going with a contractor we have used before and his price is $5500 for labor and basic materials and we will buy everything else a la cart. Hoping to come in just about $10k.
To give you an idea though our tile is 4.50 a sqft (so about $1k), our custom vanity and medicine cabinet came to $2k. So it all depends on what you want.

yes it really depends on materials you use. An example our floor tile are marble which were $$$ while our wall tile we choose subway tile and they were cheap. Just do a lot of shopping and set a budget for yourself because all the little things add up.

It is definitely possible to do it under 10k. Just for an idea our base price for just the labor (without the repair of a rotted wall/window) was around $6k. How much you spend on tiles, fixtures, sinks etc are what can make up the difference in prices. There are a lot of different options and you can save a ton by thinking outside of the box.

Labor for my 5x8 was $6000.
We did a total gut with tub removal and conversion to a walk in shower.
Materials added another $7000 or so. The glass for the shower was $2100 on its own, tiles about $2000.
