Never..
I have driven it in rush hour back from Riverhead outlets with my 2 kids in the back seat, thinking I'm bound to get pulled over because they can't see the kids in the back, and I never have. Even then, why play around with getting pulled over, I usually just stay out of it.

Nope, too afraid of paying high fines. Although when I was pregnant & had the baby's car seat installed a few weeks before I was due, I was sooo tempted to get in, thinking "would they really be able to tell if there was a baby in the seat from far away? no!" But I didn't do it.

Tho I'll admit I did it ONCE when it was raining and no one was moving. I felt like such a badass!!

OMG, I was waiting for someone to mention the raining part. DH told me that one time it was pouring so hard that he went on the HOV lane because there would be no way a cop could see through the winshield.

I never use the HOV lane when I'm not supposed to. I did cross the line once to exit when there was a major accident and all traffic stopped. I scooted off the nearest exit to escape the traffic. I will tell you that I loved leaving school and getting to the lane at 8:01pm when it was available for single passenger use and being able to take advantage of it. That was a great feeling.

I use the HOV lane everyday with DS. I never use it if I am alone.

I only use it when it is "non-HOV" times or if I have passengers. I actually got pulled over once on the LIE. My passenger was sleeping so he had his seat back. The cop was along side me and thought I was alone. After pulling me over and seeing my passenger, he said, next time this happens, just hold up the hand of my passenger so the officer knows there is someone else in the car He was really apologetic about pulling me over too
Same for me and the same thing happend. I was smiling while the cop came over. FIrst time I ever got pulled over and smiled

I have NEVER used the HOV lane unless I had 2 people in the car or its on the off times

I've only used it by myself when it was not peak hours. Otherwise, I would never chance it. I have too many other things to spend my money on than a ticket.

I use it everyday with my DD in the back. My windows are tinted so people probably think I'm a single person in the car. I know I'm going get pulled over eventually.

I only did once, b/c it was a bad snowstorm out and I was trying to get home from work, I had already been in the car for 2 hours and was only half way home. THe only lane moving was the HOV lane. I did it for about 4 exits until we passed the accident holding everyone back and then I moved back over. ( I also had to go to the bathroom really bad!)

If everyone is saying NO then who is in that lane alone?? It drives me insane!!!
BUT ... now that I am pregnant- does that count? I am carrying someone in my uterus? There are TWO people in the car!
