Best Diaper Rash Creme...to treat...like when they already have a BAD one!

DS is 23 months, and just developed a really bad rash. Its his first one that requires creme...and I am not sure which s best...

looking for one that will treat the raw skin also.

Thanks!

I always just mix vaseline and desitin (zinc) and it works for me. Also stop using wipes right now just use water soaked paper towel.

While it's pricey, I really like Triple Paste. It worked wonders for DD but the main thing that helped was really airing it out (with no cream on). Hope your LO is feeling better soon!

This. It worked so well that when DD was in daycare, her teacher would ask me what I used (I mixed it in the Vasaline container). It would clear it up right away. And I would gob it on at night. Gone next morning.

What I find works the best is a bath with a little baking soda in the water.

My little man had a rash as soon as I did the above it went away in a day. I will never go back to using wipes ever again.

I do the same except with Desitin and Aquaphor. My ped recommended it because Desitin (in the purple container) has the highest concentration of zinc oxide and the Aquaphor seals it in.

Triple Paste is my fave. We actually always use it, and DS has only had about 4 diaper rashes, total, in 20 months. So we use it as preventative and then it worked really well in "curing" the rashes, too.

I am another fan of triple paste!

I'm also a big fan of just letting them air out inbetween diaper changes also!

Keep that diaper off for a few minutes so the air can start to dry them off...before you pop another one right on them!

With my youngest, none of that stuff works. Our ped told us to mix lotrmin and bacitracin in our hand and use that.

Triple paste with a little bit of aquaphor over the TP. The aquaphor creates like a shield for the TP so it doesn't get washed off when they tinkle....lol.
