Betas not doubling... UPDATE freaking out.. another update. FINAL update
On 10/11 we transferred 2 embryos- 8 cell and 10 cell. I was sure I was going to get my period leading up to the beta. On 10/24 at 13dp3dt my beta came back at 123. On 10/26 at 15dp3dt it went up to 209 and today at 20dp3dt it only went up to 692. My progesterone is 44.something. I'm so sad and scared and nervous.... I have another beta on Wednesday and sono on Friday. I don't even know why I'm posting this. I just don't know what else to do or who to talk to that would understand...
11-8 -I went to the bathroom and saw some pink on my toilet paper when I wiped. Then I went back again and there was like a glob. It was hard to tell exactly what color somewhere between red and pink bc it was mixed in with the endometrin. I'm totally freaking out. This is like my worst nightmare.
11-9 - sono today showed a gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole. I'm 6w4d and there was no heartbeat which is making me nervous. With my last pregnancy (even though unsuccessful) I did see a heartbeat at exactly 6w4d. I did have a SCH which is what caused the bleed. I go back Tuesday - wish it was sooner...
11/15 - still no heartbeat. DNC Friday. Time to move on...

Re: Betas not doubling
Your Beta at almost a 700 doesn't seem to be so far off from your Beta 5 days prior as far as doubling goes.
Is the RE concerned about the numbers?
We stress and worry so hard to get to this point; and once we are at this point; its more gut-wrenching moments to deal with. You can really rack your brain out with trying to figure it all out during these "waiting" days.
Let's hope your embie or embies gets real comfy real quick.........GL!
Keep us posted!

Betas not doubling
Good luck. I have been going through this stuff - so totally understand the highs and the lows (just had a chromosomally tested "normal" embryo transferred - only one) without "taking". I don't usually post about my own stuff here- and am pretty new to this whole site- but wanted to send my good vibes and thoughts your way. I hope you are just (understandably) nervous. I know plenty of people who have had worrisome moments early on- and things ended up progressing beautifully.

Re: Betas not doubling
When I was pregnant with my son, I didn't have doubling betas. The nurse had me all worried. Everything turned out fine. Hoping this is the case for you too!

Me tooooo! I'm so nervous and numb at the same time. I hate the limbo the most. I don't even know how far along I should consider this. If retrieval was 10/8 and transfer 10/11, how far along am I? I think I'm just a couple days behind you and my betas are much lower.

That's encouraging. I hope that's the case for me too but I feel like i never have luck like that. Do you mind me asking what your betas were?

First one was 300 second was 540 and third was 950 something like that, this was 5 years ago though so I'm trying to jog my memory!

Re: Betas not doubling
RE's like to see it double every 48 hours but it really only needs to go up 60% every 48 hours to be within normal limits. Your betas seem to be doing that, they're not quite doubling but they are going up nicely. I know how stressful this is but I think there's a good chance everything is ok!

I just responded in the other thread
If it makes you feel any better. My numbers were never high. Never doubled. Was always about a 75 percent rise
My almost 4 yr old twins are sleeping inside
Best of luck!

Re: Betas not doubling
I get why it is worrisome. There are some silver linings though you might want to consider. 1. Many people have slow to rise betas and go on to have healthy pregnancies. A lot of the time the beta catches up after a week or two. 2. You transferred 2 embryos. It's possible they both implanted and started to secrete HCG but now only 1 is thriving. hope it all works out! Tons of

Betas not doubling
Beta doubled to 1430. Still nervous. Such an emotional rollercoaster. Thank you all for your encouraging thoughtful words. It means a lot. Only one person that went through IF knows what I'm dealing with but otherwise I have no one to talk to that would understand... I will keep you posted.
