Beyond disgusting TMI work bathroom story
Last week, going into the ladies room at work (shared among the whole floor), a woman warns me to watch my step.
There, on the floor, were tracks of poop. Someone had pooped on the floor in the first stall, stepped in it, and tracked it out of the bathroom.
She explained that this is the second time it's happened. Last time was on another floor in another bathroom. The key to get into the bathroom works on all floors, so it could be any woman on any floor.
Our office hypothesized all week on how someone could do such a thing and not notice. What was wrong with them? How does that even happen?
This week, it happened again but was worse this time. There is a rumor that a woman in the building is mad at the maintenance man who cleans the bathroom and that's why she's doing it.
There are now pictures of a pig on the door with letters scrawled on it: DON'T BE A PIG AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!!!!
What freakin disgusting people we have in my building, huh? And people chuckle at me not touching door handles and how often I wash my hands.

i am sadly not shocked... women can be disgusting. i will never understand how ppl can do something like that.
there are signs like that (no piggy pics though lol) in our bathrooms too.

That is so disgusting, never mind a health hazard to all the women.
If you're ****** off at the maintenance guy, TP the bathroom or toss the paper towels. Don't take a poop on the floor like an animal.
Hope the poopster's identity becomes known.

This is gross!!! She's mad so she craps all over, what about realizing that her bacteria is a health hazard to others using the bathroom?! She sounds mentally off to me, if this is the case. Maybe the rumor is just a rumor?
Maybe this person has a medical condition? Oh man, this is sooo nasty!

That is disgusting. You have to be pretty off your rocker to think, "Hmmm, I'll just squat here, poop on the floor, step in it, and act like it wasn't me" then actually do it!

I have a similar story...
My Mom owns a hair salon and a random woman walked in one day wanting her hair done. Obviously, you need an appt for this so when she was turned away and asked to make an appt... she did and asked to use the bathroom before she left. She went into the bathroom and pooped all over the place!!! Smeared it all over the walls and floor. As she was walking out my Mom didn't like her 'Goodbye' so quickly checked the bathroom. Once my Mom saw that, she ran outside and stopped the woman in the parking lot and luckily there is a police booth across the street and a police officer just happened to be getting out of his car at the time and walked over. Not sure what happened after that but HOW GROSSSSS!!!!

Sadly I can relate to this.
Someone pooped on the floor in the bathroom at my job once too.
How that happens is still beyond me....
I can see missing if you are squatting while peeing.
But do you really squat to poop? And how far off is the aim to miss the toilet bowl, toilet seat, and then hit the floor?
OMG! Nasty.

whoever is doing that has to have some serious mental issues. To actually think that you're getting 'back' at someone by doing that is just sick!
I would assume you work with all adults and not 2nd graders right?

Are you for real??? I can't even imagine doing this on my most ****** off of all ****** off days. It's scary how disgusting women can be!
So curious what a police officer can do about that??? I'm sure nothing.....but still.
This story and the OP story has got me

If you're ****** at the maintenance man, how about be an adult and discuss it with him, HR, or management instead of trashing the bathrooms in any way? Causing a mess of any sort b/c you don't like someone is immature and utterly unprofessional.

No cameras around, and I doubt they would spend the money on them. I work in a regular office building, not a place where children are usually and no, not in Melville. But how disturbing is it that there's someone else doing the exact same thing there too?
It just occurred to me... The dogs have been especially interested in the floor around the elevator in the past week. I figured someone spilled something. That might be why.
I wonder if I could teach them to search out the culprit? We play a search game in the office, a hide-and-go seek but with treats. How funny would that be, put the dogs on the scent? 
There's another pet friendly office in the building too. Should I put a sign in the bathrooms that there is a dog in the building trained for searching that will be used if it happens again?

... my first instinct was the give the poor lady some credit and say well maybe she had the runs REALLY bad .... and I don't know... had some phobia over touching her own poop  I hate to think this was done intentionally!!!!! I'd love to know the story behind this one though!

I'm sorry i'm over here, it's been a horrific day and I just needed to laugh and thinking about this (actually imagining it in my workplace) is hilarious. I'm sure its totally gross irl, but i'm just imagining it where I am and i'm dying
