BF and HAIR DYE Question
Ladies,
I got my hair done--highlighted from brown to blonde. I have been told that it's OKAY to BF with highlights because they do not touch the scalp.
HOWEVER, today my hair dresser used a small brush to apply some hair dye in like four difft spots because the dye (peroxide???) bled. I freaked out after she told me and she felt so bad because she forgot I was BF'ing.
So, do you think it's safe to BF or should I wait like 24 hours or something? I feel SO BAD...i am sitting here crying because I am thinking I won't be able to feed her.
TIA

Re: BF and HAIR DYE Question
aww poor thing freaking out like that, I don't think its that big a deal, because the amount of chemical that you actually absorb and then the amount of chemicals that actually get into the milk is so little.
I'm sure its okay and I'm even more sure it will be even safer after you wash it.

Re: BF and HAIR DYE Question
THANKS SO MUCH.
I feel a little calmer now. I left a message for the lactation consultant but La Leche and Kellymom.com both say it's fine and that's what I was thinking too that it will be SO minimal that it should be "okay".
