bf/pumping ques
i know you mommies are good at this stuff.
i pumped since beginning. at 6w i read here that someone wasnt getting a great supply so they were suggested to put baby to breast at 6 w too. i did that and she latched and we bf 3-4x/day. my pumping is still only getting 2ounces. i pump at night. does that mean shes just getting 2oz ? i usually feel like i should give her a bottle afer.

Re: bf/pumping ques
Pumping is not a good representation of what the baby is taking in through bf. Some women just don't respond well to pumping and babies are much more efficient at getting out the milk. You can top her off if it makes you feel more comfortable, but unless she is seems hungry I wouldn't start that, as it can mess with your supply.

Re: bf/pumping ques
In my experience, I find I what I get from a pump is a lot less than what DD gets from my breast.
Babies are a lot more efficient at removing milk from your breasts than any machine can. I would not worry that you are only getting 2ozs at a time. I posted a thread this weekend asking about things to increase my milk supply. I will bump it for you to get some ideas if you are concerned. It can't hurt!
I would not give her a bottle after she finishes nursing. I don't think there is any need and at that point, you might be overfeeding. I would switch breasts faster. The bonus is it will amp up your milk supply.

Re: bf/pumping ques
The pump is not an indicator at all of what your baby is getting - it is not nearly as efficient. I would never pump more than 4oz total, and I was BFing twins until 14 months. I know if that is all they were getting, they would not be gaining weight, etc. As long as your baby is gaining weight, and doing well, she is getting enough!
