DS was in the NICU for a few days and when he was discharged, I was instructed to feed him every 3 hours until he reached his birht weight. After that, I always fed on demand. He tended to wake every 3 hours or so to eat, but if he went longer and was still sleeping, I didn't wake him.

Oly if it is during the day and she has slept too long, but this pretty much NEVER happens. She rarely sleeps through feedings -- maybe that is why at 3 weeks she weighs 2 lbs more than she did when we left the hospital!
