BFing, self weaning, older ages (1+)?

anyone have any DCs self wean that are older than 14 months....?

i decided i will no puh the issue- Emerson still BFs whenever she asks...before naps, before bed, and once or twice at other random times....

its weird- sometimes im gone all day and she wont nurse, obviously, and i think, if i just told her no, im sure she would stop BFing and wouldnt care....

i just refuse to have a 3 year old on my boob, you know??

so im wondering, will there come a point where she really just doesnt ask....?

Taylor still BF but its down to just right before bedtime at night. SO she is self weaning. She is 22 mths and its for maybe 5 minutes like a night ritual.

Amaya did the same and one night just didnt do it. And we were done.

Emma was 2 1/2 when she self weaned. I started snuggling her instead of nursing her. It worked for us. Lukie is almost 2 1/2 and I plan on doing the same for him a the next few months.

It depends on the child I think I completely expected DD to self wean at age 1, 1/2, 2, 2 /2 and it didnt happen! She was VERY attached to the boobs and it took her to one month past her third birthday to wean and I tired everything except for flat out refusing her. I couldnt take her being so upset so I hoped and prayed that one day she would stop and she did but it took a long, long time for her.
