Birthday party presents - how much do you spend?
How much do you typically spend on presents when your children are invited to classmates birthday parties? TIA.

I typically spend $25.00 per child for friends and classmates. Lately I have been getting the $25.00 Amazon gift cards. My kids really like receiving them and picking out what they "always" wanted.

I spend about $35-$40 for his friends that he has had since he started 3 years ago. For new classmates about $25-$30.

$10-15. My DS is only in kindy and barely knows these kids. When, if, he ever gets a few BFFs I'll consider spending more.

We always seem to get $20-$25 gift cards from his classmates so that's what I started giving when invited to parties.

This is exactly what I do. If it's a close friend I usually spend more.

$30 for regular friends, $40-50 for BFFs.
I used to spend $25 but at my daughter's last party I realized people were spending more than that - most in the $35 range. So I am starting to up it a little.

Usually it will be 25.00 gift card or cash, and then a little gift to go with it, or just 30.00 without a little gift. Starting at age nine, most of the gifts my son received were cash, so that's what we do now and last year they were either $25 or $30.

$25 is usually my average, but the last couple of parties, I've found amazing deals on something much more expensive, but came out to be in the 25-30 range. So I spend that amount regardless if it's on sale or not
