Bowling Alleys to Open
Coumo is allowing us to go bowling starting Monday. At least something else to do.

Re: Bowling Alleys to Open
It's actualy pretty easy to distance there- do every other lane.
And DEFINITELY bring hand sanitizer... touching those balls always skeeved me out regardless of this virus. LOL
(and yeah, that sounded bad)

Re: Bowling Alleys to Open
I read that he will be releasing guidelines for gyms on Monday as well, so I'm hoping that they can reopen fairly soon too.

Bowling Alleys to Open
I just need youth hockey to be allowed to play. They can have clinics just no games or practices. I need practices to be allowed and a date for games to start before we have an uprising in my house.

Oh good. An activity I can take DD to when she’s home because it isn’t safe to be in school.

You’re right .. this is probably way safer than my planned field trip to the casino.

We’ve done 2 tournaments. Opportunities are there.

Re: Bowling Alleys to Open
He announced today that hyms can reopen on Aug 24th at 33% capacity- subject to an inspection by the local county prior to opening.
Not sure how they will work only have 33% capacity- maybe a staggered schedule for members who want to come back.

I'm under the impression that classes will be on a sign-up basis. I'm wondering if they will do something similar for the machines and weights, or if they will allow members to sign up for a time slot to come to the gym. I'm definitely curious to see how this goes...and eager to get back to the gym.

What about gym babysitting? Can I work from the locker room and leave my kid with an unqualified 16 year old all day?

Yes, for regular bowling, it's fine. League bowling and tournament bowling (where bowling alleys make their money) will be terrible.
My SO is a semi professional bowler. Leagues are taking a massive hit

Yes, same with my DH. He is not doing well working out at home as we have zero space. He usually goes at 5 am when they open so we shall see. Should be interesting.

We went today! Super clean and they had the balls in a room where they sanitized them and handed them to you. Shoes sanitized, masks required, lanes distanced. Felt completely safe bowling.

And masks at all times. I cant wear a mask when jogging on a treadmill. I wish Planet Fitness would move the equipment outdoors

I know. DH said he will continue to do his cardio outdoors (biking and walking)until the weather gets too cold. He said he doesn't mind masks for weights- but heavy duty cardio no way. He pretty much wants to go back for the weight room.

How the hell are ppl gonna work out with a mask on?? I can rarely keep a conversation with someone without gasping for air while feeling my mask is trying to go in my mouth whenever I breath in!
