Boy and girl sharing room help

I have a son and I'm preggo with a girl. We only have a 2 bedroom house, so it looks like the kids will be sharing. I'm looking for several things:

1) How did you split the room between the two?
2) If you got a bunkbed, from where and are you happy with it?
3) If your DH was against them sharing a room, how did you convince him otherwise?

Any pics of shared rooms would be appreciated!
Thanks!

These are some pictures from PBK. I would do something like these... paint the room a gender neutral color that matches the bedspreads you pick out then pick coordinating bedspreads... like ones that match but one in girl colors and one in boy colors and pick a gender neutral theme

Re: Boy and girl sharing room help

He's not here yet, but I'm pregnant with a Chat Icon and I have a girl already... eventually they will share a bedroom.

All we've done so far is paint the room over and bought new curtains... the room was pink and green, now it's ivory and green. His bedding will probably be blue and green and DD's pink and green things still work.

We already had 2 dressers in the room that both match DD's furniture. I had sheets and towels in one of them so I just moved that stuff out and put his clothes in.

I don't have a crib for him yet but I plan to co-sleep so I'll worry about the crib when he can STTN and not wake his sister.

My DH really doesn't like the idea - he has 2 older sisters and never had to share a room - but it is what it is and he just had to get over it. We did put our apartment on the market though, so he is going to win out in the end, which is fine by me since it suits our long term needs anyway.

I wouldn't want to keep them in the same room after about 5 years old.

Re: Boy and girl sharing room help

No kids for me at this point, but my niece & nephew share a room. The wall and curtain colors are gender-neutral (tan walls, white curtains & trim), and their bedding is striped blues/greens for him and pinks/purples for her. Furniture is white. They each have a bed on a separate wall, so it doesn't really clash or anything.

Can't answer #2 or 3, but good luck convincing your DH! If it's any help, they're 4 and 7 now, and it's worked out fine for them since day 1 Chat Icon

My kids share a room. The room is painted in shades of brown with sage green accents and is a jungle animals theme.
