Breast Pump from Edgepark (Or Target)
What pump did you order? I know the Medela & Ameda brands, but I'm intrigued by the Spectra or Natures Bond options also. Anyone have any feedback? TIA!

This! I found it was easier to find spare parts for the Medela since it is so popular. I was an EP up until a couple weeks ago.

I used an ameda platinum rental and Medela pis and did well with both.
Just wanted to say I wouldnt bother with target. I tried to go through them and it was such a pain. They only offer the ameda but they never have them in stock. I was calling all the time in Nov and Dec and they were always out of them. After weeks they finally had one and it turned out they don't actually cover with my insurance like I was told (empire nyship) but only untied Healthcare with a purple card. I went online to edge park and had my pump 2 days later. I was using a rental in the meantime but what a pain.

Thanks! Tempted to just buy the spectra s2. It's also on Amazon for $140 (no tote, or cooler. Just like groupon).

I'm confused what you mean when you say it's a portable pump but not recommended for EPing if it's your only pump? If it's portable, why wouldn't it be recommended?

When you exclusively pump, you need a pump to be as efficient as a baby would be at getting the milk out. Hospital Grade pumps are great at this, especially if you have supply issues. Some pumps, like the Medela Freestyle, are great pumps but are meant for pumping when BFing is primary b/c the suction isn't as great, so it's not as efficient. Great if you pump 1-2x a day, not if you're EPing and need to pump 7-10 times a day.
I've had a Lansinoh Affinity, a PISA, and I rented a Medela Symphony. Symphony was the best by far, followed by the PISA, and the Lansinoh was awful. I used it for the first month and I think it was one of the reasons why I never got a great supply.

I bought it  it was too good of a deal. Plus I used Ebates and its double cash back right now, 6%
