My dd has bright red cheeks. They have never been so red before. No fever, not cranky
Sign of teething?

Re: bright red cheeks
have you been outside? my dd has had it also and she has very sensative skin and it is from the cold weather my doc says. i put aquaphor or vaseline on her. my doc says that you should do that before you go outside and it seems to work.
Im not sure about the teething thing.

Re: bright red cheeks
I've heard red cheeks without fever could be a sign of teething. Home your LO is ok

Re: bright red cheeks
I don't know what it is. But, Liam had this yesterday, at night. He was out in the cold earlier in the day. But, not at all today and they came back around dinner time. I thought it was just me noticing it but, my sister came over and was like, "woah look at his cheeks".
I think he might be working on some molars? Could that be it with your DC?

Re: bright red cheeks
Teething could be it.
With my first son, he had these really really red cheeks that looked like he was slapped. It ended up being Fifth Disease...not as scary as it sounds though, lol. The only symptoms are really bright red cheeks and then a lacy rash that goes over the torso and thighs etc...
It can have different affects on diff people though...I know it could be dangerous for pregnant women. I don't know much more about it..just wanted to throw it out there in case. I'm not sure if it happens during a particular season as well, i think johnny had it in the spring.

It's so funny because after the blizzard, DS went outside with DH to play in the snow. Cane back in and his cheeks were bright red.
The next time I took him outside to play, I put aquaphor on his cheeks.
When we came inside, he had these skin colored circles on his cheeks surrounded by red. You could TOTALLY see where I put the aquaphor and where I missed! The spots I missed were bright red!

Re: bright red cheeks
Yep most likely the cold- their skin is SO sensitive to it. Aquafor is great for that

ITA AJ has ridiculously bright red cheeks. You'd think I'd taken some of that old fashioned blush sticks and painted her face!
But other than that she's happy. So I lotion her cheeks (which she hates) then send her off.

Re: bright red cheeks
I have posted about this before. This happens to Derek (15 mo.) His cheeks get bright red and feel warm, sometimes hot, to the touch. No fever. I find this happens when he is teething. I put some aquaphor on his cheeks which helps.
