We have the Boulevard. It has the Side Impact protection.
Ditto for us. Technically, DS has a Wizard, but that was the SIP model before the Boulevard. DD has the Boulevard.
BTW, the Britax Diplomat also has the Side Impact Protection, but it's a bit smaller and cheaper than the Boulevard.
Is the Diplomat comparable to the Marathon?

Re: Britax Car Seat owners...please come in!
I have 2 Marathons that have been used by my 3 kids and have no complaints at all. Honestly, there is no way any child is using a Marathon till 65 lbs. They will outgrow it on height before weight. But my DS was over 40 lbs before he was the proper age and height to move into a booster so I was glad to have the Marathon. It's just roomier, which will be a plus even if you don't have a big child. My DD is 4 and still uses hers. She still only 33 lbs but I could not imagine her in a Roundabout. So I say go for the Marathon. Over the life of the carseat, the $50 will be negligible.

Click on any few Britax models to get a side-by-side comparison. http://www.britaxusa.com/products/default.aspx
The Diplomat only goes up to 40lbs, but the Marathon goes to 65lbs, like the Boulevard.

Re: Britax Car Seat owners...please come in!
I have the roundabout for 2 reasons. First, I was afraid of the price -- putting it on my registry. I didn't want to look greedy. Second, my doc told me that I was going to have a big baby. DH is 6'1" so I was afraid that the Marathon or other models would be wasted because I was afraid that my baby would exceed the height limit before the weight limit and it seemed like I was spending extra money for no reason. I'm still not sure what is going to happen in the future with the carseat, but right now, DD is 2.5 y.o. and she is 37 inches tall but only weighs 28lbs. So she will still be in the Roundabout for a while. I'm guessing that if we have another baby, the new baby will get this Roundabout and Marron will get a new seat. (Poor second baby with all hand-me-downs )

We travel a lot so I didn't want the Marathon to lug around. We have the Roundabout that I hope will work until we switch DD to a booster seat.

I have a Marathon in the car we use most and the Roundabout in the car we use less often. I like them both. I would register for the one YOU want and if you get it, great...if not you get the discount from the store anyway

We have the marathon, she's been in it since she was about 7 or 8 months old and now she's almost 3! I love it!

we have the boulevard and really like it. I got a great deal (229, originally 309!) on it at www.babyage.com. I'm not sure if it is still onsale but I just got an email that the marathon is 209 right now.

Same here. I love the roundabout and I'm pretty sure it will last us until we need the booster. It is so much easier to travel with it. I think the marathon would have been more of a PIA on the planes, etc.

We have the roundabout. I got it for a steal at Target and DD is so tiny I don't think the weight will be an issue. She is almost 15 months old and isn't even 20lbs yet.
