I didn't get an email yet but mine says it is not shipping until Dec. I'd be interested to see what happens to those in the shipping state. If they get it at that price, I think the rest of us may have a stronger case.
Mine said the same thing!!

Re: Britax Marathon - IT WAS AN ERROR
May I suggest to those of you who ordered: email Target and fight to get it at that price.
If you do a search on LIF for the FP Papason swing, you'll see the same thing happend in June 2007 on a different website (Baby Universe). The swing was advertised for 63.99 (usually priced at 159?).
After a few emails about honoring the posted price, as well as a complaint filed with the BBB, a few of us were able to get our swings- with the advertised price.

I haven't received an email yet. I only received the email confirmation.
And when I log into my account at Target it still shows the order pending.

Please, we need details.

That's exactly the story I was thinking of. The papason swing fiasco.
And this is what I intend on doing. They had a chance to review orders PRIOR to sending a confirmation. That's the problem I have with it.

Aren't they still liable to honor the advertised price?
Apparently someone find a disclaimer that they are not responsible for mismarked items.
But we all have an email confirmation with the price and that they OKd it.
I will fight this one. That they do have a choice to review orders PRIOR to and order confirmation and that in my eyes is legally binding. They acknowledge the order, gave it an order number AND send an acknowledgement of such order at x,y,z price. I think you should fight this. It is not up to the consumer to determine if a price is legitimate or not. If you have a confirmation, that is an acceptance of an offer (any lawyers here???) I am pretty sure when this happened last year with Amazon.com in a similar situation, they faced a class-action lawsuit and decided to honor the pricing to those who kept and could produce their order confirmations. Let me see if I can find the newsstory from last year.

Please, we need details. emailed them maybe 2-3 times, demanded a higher up. Got a higher up and advised I would be reporting to BBB if sale price not honored. Heard nothing back. Filed with BBB and sent email to higher up advising so. She sent me a few emails offering "deals" on the price. Refused those and stated would complain to everyone. Finally got OK to have it processed at sale price. Took about 6 weeks.

Yes, please do. I would also join in and complain. I didn't receive the email yet, but I'm ready to fight. I mean, I don't think they have a case, this happened to me with AOL/travelocity in '07: I was randomly pricing resorts in the Caribbean where I found one for $2.50/night, so I figured I'd book 5 nights, just to see what would happen. Everything went through, I called the resort directly and my vacation was confirmed. AOL never was able to "take back" the mistaken rate! They obviously lost a TON of money (I'm assuming it was supposed to be $250/night)- a lot more than Target lost per person.
BTW- I had an amazing vacation steal in St. Thomas! lol

Re: Britax Marathon - IT WAS AN ERROR
I ordered 2 of the seats last night around 8 PM and did not get an e-mail. It says they will be shipping Dec 18. I also think if they still have this on their website now that increases their liability-it should not be there at all!
ETA_I just went and saved as PDF files:
The e-mail comfirm The page I get to when I click on my order number What comes up when I click on the original link from LIF-it says out of stock with no price at all.

I did the same thing. Also a threat of filing a complaint with the FTC and State Attorney General due to "bait and switch" practices was enough to get the swing.
Personally, I stopped shopping at Target a year ago when I couldn't return $200.00 worth of merchandise one day after the receipt expired. It was partial my fault but I was in the process of moving and just had DS#2.
I called customer relations to complain and explained that I had just given birth. The rep response was it's our policy "90 days" and that they could possibly take back the merchandise if I had a miscarriage. I was so disgusted. I could not believe what she said.
I took Target to Small Claims Court because I was so enraged with this whole fiasco. They sent an HR rep from the local store however I still lost. I loathe Target to this day. This mommy is going to make it her mission to get the car seat at the $42.99 price. Watch out Target.

Thank you for sharing. I agree, bait & switch plus the fact that the "mispricing" disclosure in in the Help Menu.

Re: Britax Marathon - IT WAS AN ERROR
This is what Target.com says......
Confirmed Prices We cannot confirm the price of an item until your order enters the shipping process nor will we charge your credit card until your order enters the shipping process. (Please note that your Order Acknowledgement means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been shipped or that the price of an item has been confirmed.)
Mispriced Items Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our Web site may be mispriced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our shipping procedures.
-If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
-If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
I really hope they honor this price......
