Brooklyn weddings question
Is it customary to bring gifts to the actual wedding in a Brooklyn wedding? I know that that is done Upstate and in different parts of the country, but I thought weddings in Bklyn were more like those on LI, that you generally give the gifts at the shower, and give money at the wedding.
My friend, who already had her shower, just sent out a mass email saying she registered at another store, and cant wait to see us all at the wedding. I was planning on giving her a check, but now Im wondering if that would be wierd.

honestly, I dont remember anyone bringing gifts... people always bring card with money as far as I remember

exactly i have never been to a brooklyn person's wedding and seen a gift,
can't say a brooklyn wedding cause i've never actually been to a wedding in the borough of brooklyn

Gifts at a wedding is definitely not a Brooklyn thing...maybe the bride just doesn't want money and prefers gifts.
