BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
do they provide you with a thank-you list? or are they also dysfunctional on that side of the registry?
I couldn't find any TY list online.

ty list?
You should just have someone at the shower write down who gave you what so you can make your ty's out that way.

Yeah you definately need to do this because I know from my shower- I had NO idea who gave what after the fact!

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
I had a TY list written, but as you all know, there are always some holes in that list becuase poop happens and things go so fast.
amazon has a complete TY list. Bloomies did to (for our wedding). figures BRU is not functional again......

TY list? That doesn't even account for the people who didn't buy off a registery. I've never been to a shower where people didn't write down who got what or used a store list for a ty list. I think on this one, you're being a little hard on BRU

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
I've never heard of a ty list on the registry, but maybe i've just never noticed them? In addition to someone writing them all down as you open, or instead of, they can also write the gift inside the card you got with the gift. That's what my BMs did at my bridal shower, worked out great.

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
Like I said earlier, I have a hand-written TY list, but there are some holes in it due to shower chaos, if you know what I mean.
Many registries now do have an online TY list available... I had them for my wedding, and on my amazon baby registry.... they're terribly convenient to fill in any manually-generated list inaccuracies (missing names, gifts not listed as part of a larger package)
Since almost everyone adhered to my registry, it would have been nice.
but you all answered my question... if no one heard of a list online, and I can't find one, it obviously doesn't exist.
sigh.

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
I've never heard of this either. I mean, if you pay with cash and even said it came off a registry, how would tehy know who it was from?
I don't really see this as a fault on BRU's part

this is my point. I mean amazon everyone is buying with a cc, but in stores people don't. I know you had little bumps with BRU, but I don't think this is a negative at all.

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
I dunno. Frankly, Bloomies had no problem generating a TY list for my bridal shower/wedding... and they're also a brick-and-mortar store where people could pay cash.
They just TRY harder, I guess.
I'll also add that they keep meticulous records as far as who bought stuff from your registry when it comes to return time... it's all in their system when it benefits them.

Re: BRU registry question.... AFTER the shower...
FYI: Macy's will create a TY list for you after your wedding too -- anything bought off your registry is complied into a list with who bought it for you. Very helpful!
I wish BRU would do something similar, too.

WOW Bloomies didn't do that when I got married - in fact I had a couple of problems with them not telling guests items were on LONG back order and they sent 2 gifts without any cards etc so I had no idea where they came from and they couldn't find the info for a few weeks. Glad to hear they got their act together.
Unfortunately BBB and BRU doesn't have their act together to do a TY list - you will be lucky enough if your guests even give you a gift receipt.

probably bloomies got their act together sometime between your wedding and mine. I only had my shower in spring 2007, so it was fairly recent. They had wonderful service last year, but I totally can see your mismanagement stories happening....
yeah, I totally didn't get many gift receipts. BRU didn't honor practically ANY returns... even if they were registry items / items only sold by BRU.... they literally took back only 3 pacifiers (I registered for 1 and got several, but with receipts). wierdly, my registry never noted that the pacifiers were purchased!
sooo glad I don't have to deal with registries ever again.
