BTDT 1 year old toys & gifts

People are already starting to ask me what to get Liam for his birthday in a month. He will be 1 year old. Can you share with me your DC's favorite toys and gifts? Your favorites? Maybe something for outside for the summer? Thanks!

My favorite gift that DD got fir her 1st b-day was a really pretty growth chart.

Ride On toys are always fun for the first birthday. A Cozy coupe or Push Around Buggy iare made for 1 year and up. They sell some smaller ones that can use their own footpower. They're small enough to have indoors if you prefer and have some different themes like Dora, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, etc. My DS had a MM plane toy that he loved where the propeller went around (foam) with lights. My SIL got it at Target - he will still play with them whenever I let him browse the toy area. He's probably too small for a sandbox but an outdoor slide might be fun for him as well. For indoors, a Pottery Barn anywhere chair is great. I prefer theirs because you can wash the slipcover - you don't want an upholstered chair with a 1 year old. They have lots of colors and you can get his name on it.

Chloe got the potterybarn anywhere chair, cozy coupe, little tykes house for the backyard from family.

She loves the cozy coupe... she also loves the fisher price lion push toy. She pushed it for months when she was cruising and she still loves it now that she is a walker.

She also got a shopping cart that she loooooves to push around and collect all of her stuff

a water table might be fun for the summer or a bubble machine
