BTDT Moms - Kids in a wedding
DS is in BILs wedding as a ring bearer. The men are getting ready in Levittown (DH is Best Man). DS will be with DH.
What do I do about the limo? Do I have DH install a carseat into the limo?

Our nephew was almost 2 when he was in our wedding. He didn't go in the limo, my SIL and BIL got him ready beforehand and then followed the limos to the church, where the guys took professional pics.

DS was a little over 3 when he was in a wedding. DH took him in the limo and just buckled him in with a seat belt (like we have also done in a NYC taxi).

How far is it?
We went to NYC the other day and DS was just in my lap. Is it weird that it didn't freak me out too much? We didn't go over 20 the whole time.
If it wasn't too far, and local roads only, I think I would just let him go in the limo.

Brought DS (almost 2) into the limo with me, buckled him in and held him really tight.

same here. the kids who were in our wedding were all in the limo with us....they had a blast!!!!

Same here. We didn't want to deal with the hassle of the car seat plus everyone was drinking and partying in between the church and reception and I knew it wouldn't be appropriate for DS. I am also preggo so I lucked out that I didn't have to deal with it either

after that horrible crash that killed that little girl at her aunt's wedding, I would drive my kids regardless of the distance..Plus, I think the couple would be appreciate not having kids in the limo possibly misbehaving while they are looking to party and celebrate..JMO

The last time I was in a wedding with flower girls, their parents drove them. I believe their father was in the wedding too... actually, come to think of it he was my partner in the wedding. He didn't come in the limo either, otherwise I'd remember him better.

The limo is a convenience for the wedding party so that everyone is together. It's not mandatory that everyone travels in one. I would just follow the limo from one place to another in your own car with the child in a carseat.

Sorry, meant to mention the wedding is in Lindenhurst. So it is about 25 minute drive. I am also in the wedding and I will be with the bride who is getting ready in Plainview.

my DH wasn't int he bridal party when i was in my sisters so he took DS. the guys were drinking on the way to the church and then to the reception and i wouldn't want DS there, not just b/c of the no car seat thing but IMO just not the place for a 2 or 3 yr old, KWIM?
I would have one of our parents drive him or siblings or something like that.
