I had one while I was pregnant. Giving birth did not make it better or worse. It went away eventually.

I didn't have them until I pushed him out. or maybe it was the placenta.
I am not being overly dramatic when I say it was singlehandedly the most painful part of his birth and of my recovery.
I had NO IDEA what a hemmorhoid really was until I had them. I thought they were pimples 
I will say (again with no exaggeration) that initially it was the size of a slug. it has gone down considerably but it has not gone away yet.
I am about 4.5 months post partum.
not fun.

I agree. I was not expecting the most painful part of my recovery to be the roids.
They gave me cream, a spray and a prescription in the hospital because mine were so bad. I still have them 5 months PP
