How close was the estimate the doctor gave you to the actual birth weight of you LO?

We had a growth sono at around 36 weeks and DS was estimated to be 6.6 at that time. He was born at 38.5 weeks and weighed 6.8 so I'd say it was pretty off.

It was off. They guessed higher than she actually was..I forgot the #'s. DD was born 6lbs 4oz and I think they had guess 5lbs and change at 32 weeks

I had a growth sono 2 weeks before giving birth. They estimated her to be 7lbs and she was born at 8lbs 3oz. It's off but not by much if they gain an ounce a day at the end.

I had a sono at 40w2d...they got 2 estimates...8lb 6oz and 8lb 12 oz....she was born 5 days later at 8lb 4 oz...they were kind of close.

Way off estimated the day before I gave birth and 8lbs8oz and dd was 7lbs even.

I had a growth sono at 36w and they said prepare for a 9lb baby.
DS was born at 39 wks and he weighed 7lb15oz.

I had a growth sono @ 38 weeks 2 days. They said 8.14. Dr. induced me the next day due to eleveated amniotic fluid and ds was 8.5 1/2. I think if I went the full 40 weeks, he would have been 9lbs.

my 36w sono they said she would likely close to the 8 lb range.
She was 6 lb 10 oz at 41 weeks when she was born.

totallt off... I remember that day I was supposed to get induced... right b4 they took a sono and guessed 8 pounds and I forget the ounces.
He was 7lbs 5 oz

One off: measured @ 41w - high 8s low 9s. Born next day @ 10-2
One right on: measured @ 37 w - 10-8. Born 2 days later @ 10-8.

they estimated DS at 38 weeks to be 6lbs even, he was born at almost 41 weeks at 6lbs 2 ounces...they were a bit off

The day before I delivered they told me 7lbs 6oz. Ds was 7lbs 1oz so very close

All 3 were right on the money...
DS ,told 9-6, he was born next day 9-12
DD, told over 9 and she was 9-13
DS#2, told over 10 - he was 11-8

very close!!!!! the last sono I had about 1 week before I had the baby and she said about 7 1/2 lbs. He was 7 14 at birth

I'm not a BTDT mom yet... but from friends I know.. they have always overshot the weight.
My one friend in particular was told her baby was like a 10 pounder. Kid came out weighing 6 pounds!!! WAYYY off!!

Mine was spot on!
I went for a sono at just before 41 weeks and they guessed 7.12. I had her 4 days later and she was born exactly 8lbs.

They estimated her about 2 lbs bigger than she actually was.
Almost everyone I know was told they were having a big baby, then after delivery, the baby was average.

At my last appt she guestimated 7.5 and he came out at 7.26!

The day before I had him, they said he was 8lbs, 9 oz. He was 8lbs, 6oz...Pretty close for me..

I kept hearing 'big'. Even when I was pushing & she was crowning, the Dr exclaimed that she would be 'a 9lber'. Charlie was born 7, 2. lol
