BTDT: Team green moms... anyone guess right?

For my fellow mommies.... how much fun is it to hear all the guesses on if you were having a boy or girl? I have to admit, i am seriously getting a kick out of it!

I was wondering, obviously people have a 50/50 chance of getting it right, but anyone have people guess mostly one gender and then you had the other?

For example, when my mother was pregnant with me, people swore she was having a boy and even got her a boy baby's first Christmas ornament!!!! well obviously they were WRONG!

Well I wasn't team green but up until we found out the sex- EVERYONE said boy.
I was carrying small, all belly, and they kept going by that old wives tale.

I guess I heard enough of it that I thought for sure it was a boy.
Didn't even think of any girls's names

So you can imagine our shock when they told us GIRL!

Twice


First Time - EVERYONE swore I was having a boy. Only 1 girl vote. Every cashier, salesperson told me a boy. I was positive I was having a boy.
I had a !!!!!!


Second Time - Everyone said I was having a boy this time. I made NO guesses what so ever, after being so wrong the first time.

Looking back now I can say the two pregnancies were completely different and I carried differently.

I was team green and 99% of the people said Girl. I had so many of the classic girl wives tale "symptoms"... only my stepdad and my FIL guessed boy.

Well, the dads were right. He is all boy so everyone else was wrong!

With my first two nearly all of the predictions were . I would estimate 90% for #1 and like 99% for #2. Guess what I had?

With #3 again, most said , but I had a lot more guesses than the first two times. Maybe because I already had two girls? Anyway, I had...

Loving Team ! We recorded peoples predictions on gender (and on date with #1) all three times...so much fun!

I just knew I was having a girl from the second I got 2 lines on the test. We were team green but we may as well have known. I'd even forget that we didn't know and occasionally told people we were having a girl when they'd ask, then I'd have to correct myself and say "Actually, we have no idea! I'm just sure it's a girl!"

I don't know if it was becuase I was so sure she was a girl, but most people would guess girl. I even had a few random strangers in stores tell me I was having a girl. I went from being really thin to a little chunky so I understood why people who knew me would guess girl, but it's not like strangers knew my normal body type, kwim?

DH was annoyed that I "knew" it was a girl becuase he said I ruined his surprise . I told him next time I won't tell him what I think it is.

I was team and everyone said boy. The way I was carrying, the way I looked....they said I looked like I was having a boy. I really, really thought I was having a boy...since everyone kept saying it. Even strangers would come up to me and say that. Well boy was everyone shocked when a girl came out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I was having a boy the entire time--up until the last week. I started to get an overwhelming feeling that it was a girl. And when I was in labor, all I was thinking about was DD's name and how we would girly up the gender-neutral nursery.

I was team Wirh both girls, but with #1 I heard it all!

I was carrying low so it was a boy.

It goes on and on. But with #2, I had everyone stymied. I thought it was a boy, never got the girl vibe I had with DD #1.

I think I carried the same with both.

Same! There is even a post I did on pregnancy for guesses and most were boy guesses! Well I have a girl.

I had a gut feeling she was a girl and I was right.

Most people said but a handful said but nobody really saw me preggers b/c I lived oos. They only saw me around christmas and I was barley showing and then on FB through pics
