no i did not and sort of wish now i did.
since i had a csection, my yearly deductible has already been hit, so it would have been nothing for me to get it done.
I was scared of periods....I did not want this crazy heavy period, it is so heavy while i am bfing, i did not want to take any chances.
dh is more done having kids then i am. we are happy and i love him, but to have my kids attend their stepmother's baby shower would be a bit much. dh thinks i am insane.
then i decided, if dh and i did go our seperate ways one day, i would hope he has a child. him and wife #2 would have too much fun together not having one.
dh is getting it done once he gets 2 days off in a row scheduled.

I don't think so. I just don't like that it is so final. Even though I'll know we are definitely done, I don't like to think that I am actually incapable, if this makes any sense. I keep going back and forth on it though.
me too-especially since I am still of childbearing age. If I was in my mid-late 40's I might do it

Same here. I know someone personally who had her tubes tied, had awful, heavy, painful AFs after the procedure...and then got pregnant again anyway! 
I've already told DH that unless he wants to be using condoms until menopause , he may want to think about a vasectomy when we are done.
We have 2...we're going to decide later if we want 1 more.

I wanted to after having Charlie but I gave birth in a Catholic hospital so it was not even an option for me.
I'm pretty sure I dont want anymore. I'm still young though - and the only way I would have anymore is when all three of my kids are in school full time. But then it would be starting over, and I dont know if thats something I would want to do.

I am tossing this around right now. I always thought the tubal could be reversed, and I know it can, but I read something the other day in a book, that if it is done immediately after birth, it is permanent. Reading that scared me a bit. I know we are done after this one, but there is always that hesitation and what if. So, when I first found out I was pregnant, I was all for it, but now....not so sure. It is going to take a lot of thinking it through.

It's funny this post is here because I just asked my doctor about this. We are expecting our 2nd child in October and we know this is it. DH wouldnt mind getting snipped but our doctor said it really is just 10 more minutes of surgery. She did say though to make sure you are 110% sure you are done. I do however agree, it does make me a little sad because it is SO final and down the road if we ever did change our mind ( I dont think we would) but if we did...that's it.

I had it done after DD#2 during my c/s, I have ZERO regrets. I am 38 and had a hard times having my girls and horrific p/g's. I knew that if I was lucky enough to have #2, I would be DONE! With that being said, it kinda screwed with me mentally while I was making the desicion. It felt so permanent even though, I knew I was done. When it came time to sign the paper to do it that morning, I had peace with it and am happy with my choice.

Since I will be having 3 c-sections, I feel that I've done more than my fair share. I told DH he can get "fixed" if he wants. I don't care if I'm already cut open, I'm not doing it!
