C-section Moms - What did you wear the first couple of weeks after hospital?
For those of you who had c-sections, what did you wear around the house the first couple of weeks after the baby was born?
Were your maternity clothes comfortable? Did they rub up against your incision?
Also, I bought these huge granny panties for the hospital that go up to my belly button. How long will I have to wear these lovely things for before I feel comfortable down-sizing to something even remotely attractive??

I wore super comfy lounge pants ( 2 sizes to big) and my maternity jeans when I went out.

I wore my maternity clothes until about 6 weeks pp...then one day I fit into my jeans! It was amazing!

I could wear my regular jeans after two weeks but it rubbed up against my scar so I stuck to maternity jeans and lounge pants for about 6 weeks.

Pretty much my regular sweatpants b4 I was prego with a tanktop.
Everything seemed to rub up against the incision so took a while b4 I put on my regular jeans

I never put maternity clothes on again after giving birth!!! I hated those things I wore sweats and lounge pants, they were low rise, but did not bother me at all.

me too!! I packed them away a few days PP. I lost the weight fast. I think the fact I had no appetite from the surgery (the recovery took a while) then I didn't have time to eat with the new baby. Just gave me maternity clothes to a friend who told me she's prego.

Big Tshirts anre really stretchy pants. I was a mess for like 3 months after hee hee with my granny panties too!

I wore cotton shorts that are tight but not too tight that go to just above the knee - $8 at Target or Walmart. The waistband goes up high enough to be above the incision but still supports the post-op belly a little. I found my yoga pants to sit too low and rubbed my incision. I def recommend the big granny panties!!

I pretty much wore sweats. I still had to wear my maternity jeans for a about a month or two afterwards.

I wore yoga/lounge pants basically until i went back to work at 9 weeks. They were the most comfortable.
My incision got infected so it took a lot longer to heal....I think I was wearing my granny panties until I went back to work also because I was afraid of ruining my nicer underwear (but my infection was pretty bad)

i had lounge pants from old navy and elastic-waist pants from NY and Co.
i occasionally wore maternity pants but i hated that i still looked pregnant in them so i tried not to. the lounge pants had a wide waistband that kind of held me in a little.

Same here, sweats and any elastic band skirts/capris. I fit into my "fat" jeans after a week or two, but they weren't comfy until probably 4-6 weeks on the incision. I never wore the huge granny panties, my regular bikini undies were fine

I wore lounge pants & some maternity pants. As far as the granny panties; I never wore there...I found my bikinis were fine.

im still in recovery im 3 weeks pp and ive been wearing my regular sundresses. as far as panties ive been wearing the ones they gave in the hospital (i took a ton!) along with granny panties that go up to my belly button. im still bleeding so i dont want to ruin any of mine plus i feel like it will bother my incision every pair is super lowrise

I Tell all the C section mommies get a gurdle they are the shorts. they have them at Target even. Wear it under anything you wear. It helps hold everything in and you feel so much better moving around. I feel like it helped my tummy go down faster.
My mother recomended it to me she had 3 C sections workes great!!
