C-section moms, I still look pregnant after 9 weeks
I was just walked back to my desk and when i looked down, I saw that i still look pregnant. I have a huge tummy that sticks out. I'm back to my pre-preg weight and my pants fit again although they are a bit snug (they were before too) but this belly just hangs over the waist of my pants.
How do i get rid of this thing??? I'm a little sad about it. It's all flabby and unattractive. Not to mention that the linea nigra is still there and the doc said it would fade. Fade does not equal disappear.
Exercise, diet - is there hope? Spanx?

Re: C-section moms, I still look pregnant after 9 weeks
DS is 19 months and I just got to the point where I am comfortable with my body and my stomach.
I did South Beach and exercise 3-4x/week.
2 days of cardio (running/treadmill)
and 2 days I take a cardiosculpt class.
It's really hard to get rid of the c-section pooch.
Even though my arms and legs look tight, I have to admit, my belly is still a little flabby and my thighs seem to never tone as much as my lower legs.

sorry, but I'm 10.5 PP and still have a gut (although I'm sad to say I haven't tried anything to loose it).
I think exercise is the best

I am 4months pp and 20 lbs lighter than I was before I got pregnant. My jeans are huge in the waist but snug across my belly which I call my "Fat Flap"since the birth of the triplets... I do alot of walking with them but it doesnt help the stomach I am looking into a tummy tuck next summer.

ITA. I've been working on getting my abs back too, it used to not require so much effort though!

Re: C-section moms, I still look pregnant after 9 weeks
Does a C make it more difficult to tone afterward because of scar tissue?
Too bad they couldn't do a little tuck while they were opening you up anyway!

I do not think so, I had 2 c/s and I had a totally flat tummy after number one and a pretty flat tummy after number 2. It does take some time and of course excercise wont hurt. But I am here to say, It is possible!
BTW: I am a girl who weighs 105lbs and had a 9lb 3oz baby and my belly is really not too bad. You will get there.
