I didn't bleed much at all after my c-section, I used the hospital pads but didn't like them to much. I also EBF so I didn't get my first period back till I was 6 months PP. If your going to BF you wont bleed as much.
That wasn't true for me. I bled heavily for about 3 weeks after my c-section and I EBF. I also got AF 6 weeks PP.
ETA: I still EBF and get AF regularly
Wow, really? well thats good to know for when I have baby #2--lol A lot of my friend that had c-sections and BF didn't bleed all that much also.
I wish I was one of the lucky ones but I wasn't My SIL EBF both of her kids and got AF with the first one regularly and didn't get AF with the second one for over a year!

Re: C-section question
I had a c/s with my 1st and I bled for about 5 weeks. It was never heavy, so a regular pad worked fine. ETA: I BF exclusively and got AF back at about 9 weeks pp, and very regular at that.
My second was a v-birth and OMG, I thought I was hemmoraging

I didn't realize you still bleed after having a c-section and need those huge pads. Do you need them for many days or just the first few? Did you need to wear one home or just a pantyliner?
You cannot use a tampon till first AF afterwards.
I used the pads for about 3-4 weeks...
I bled heavily for about 3 weeks after m,y c/s...then moved on to a lighter pad.
me too

Re: C-section question
I bleed pretty heavy on and off for 6 weeks - I needed both the heavy ones and the pantyliners.

Re: C-section question
I bled heavy for about 2 weeks and had to wear big pads , 2 weeks later I only bled a little and started usin regular small pads, just don't use tampons. the doc. and nurses at the hospital did tell me that you don't bleed as much , when you have a C section and turned out to be true for me.

Re: C-section question
I am just about 3 weeks pp and still bleeding although lightly.
For the first week + I used the overnight pads (I liked my own vs the hospital because they have the wings) Now I am on a thin pad. I think by next week I will move to the panty liner, I probably could now but dont want to take the chance.
