Cablevision - On Demand channels
Silly question..
I'm unsure how the on demand system works - is the 5.00 fee for the 'ability' to use the on-demand service, and then I need to pay for each show that I watch?
Or, do I pay 5.00 a month and can watch whatever I want whenever I want with no additional fees?

5.00 per on demand service. Then you can watch whatever you want and not pay for it! Its covered under the 5.00 fee

there is a 5.00 per month fee for DVR, I am not sure if you can pay for on demand monthly.

Its $4.95 a month each for HBO Cinemax, Showtime and Disney On Demand.
If you go to movies On Demand (ch 500) it $4.95 per movie
ETA - DVR is $9.95 per month

Hmm.. interesting. Then why would I pay them the 11.00 to have the regular channel when I can have the added convenience of watching the same shows whenever I want for half the price.
Or, is the catch that if I want to get Showtime on Demand I need to buy Showtime (regular)?

Yes - you have to have the actual channel before you get the On Demand
