Can a droopy ear piercing be fixed?
My left right piercing was also a little bit lower than my right. Now, I feel like it's getting droopier. Is it possible to do something about that?

Re: Can a droopy ear piercing be fixed?
Mine used to be droopy too. I let the piercing close up and had it re-pierced and now it is fine. I am so happy. I am still wearing the earrings from when they were redone but so far it is great.

Thank you! How did you let the piercing close up? Did you just stop wearing earrings?
Did you have to wait to have it close up before you pierced them again or did you just leave the original piercings alone and re pierced higher? Sorry for so many question!

Re: Can a droopy ear piercing be fixed?
my gf had it fixed at her drs. office.. in order for them to cover it in insurance, she had to have 1 done at a time (which you woudn't need it sounds like).. they basically cut it and then stitched it up and then she had it repierced

I really want to do this too but hate what my ears look like without earrings (I have huge ears), not sure how I'm going to survive not wearing them for awhile!

I stopped wearing earrings for about a year. When DD was born she loved to pull on my earrings so I had to stop wearing them all together. My left ear was the droopy earring ear. Once she was older I wanted to wear earrings again, but found out that my ear closed up. In November I got my ear repierced and it looks great now. It does not hang funny at all. I am so happy. Also, it did not hurt like it did the first time when I got my ears pierced. I think the reason my ear had a droopy piercing was that the person who did it the first time did it at a really bad angle. She did the first one right. And then I remember she coughed just as she hit the trigger for the other ear. It went in funny and I had a bad earring ear for almost 20 years. I should have done this so much sooner.
ETA: The woman who redid it for me said she put it in almost exactly where the other piercing was but slightly off. She used the same indent for the front, but a different part of the back. See my original hole was shaped funny so it was awful to get earrings in and out. I think it would depend upon how your piercing is shaped. I went to the jewelry store La Joillier in Locust Valley. The woman is a retired nurse so I felt I comfortable having her do it. It was about $80 for her to repierce the one ear.
ETA2: She also said I cannot wear heavy earrings for a year. I can only wear studs for the first year. The heavier and longer earrings will stretch your piercings out. I am not sure if you have the same restrictions with having it surgically done. I would see if you can get a free consult from a physician. Also, my children's pediatrician said he would repierce it for me too.
