Re: Can anyone recommend an OB/GYN in Queens or W. Nassau?

I've had bad experiences with the two OB/GYNs that I've tried in Forest Hills so far. I just looked and Dr. Hanauer takes my insurance, so I think I am going to look into switching to her. We're planning on moving to Nassau within a year or so anyhow, and I really need someone who takes the time to talk to me.

Can any of her patients tell me what her latest hours are? TIA!

Her late night is Thurs. I think her talast appt is at 7:45pm. I always get the last one since I work in Manhattan.

I used to go to Dr.Marci Ostroff in New Hyde Park (right next to LIJ). Her staff is all women. I loved them - but I moved to NJ so I couldn't go anymore.

Thanks, that's perfect. I can get there by 6:30 from Westchester...but if i start my new job here in queens in July, then I'll have no problem going earlier!

I'm so excited to make an appointment with someone who is so highly recommended!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Another Dr. Hanauer fan here. We all sound like a cult lol.

But, honestly, she is really THAT great.

Re: Can anyone recommend an OB/GYN in Queens or W. Nassau?

I'm so bummed. I was so excited to make an appt. with Dr. Hanauer. I did a provider search for my insurance, and she was listed. I called to make an appt., and after the receptionist took all of my info, I found out that she no longer takes HIP. I hate HIP!! Chat Icon I can't wait until I have better insurance.

If I decide to take the insurance at my new job, I'll have Aetna, which she takes, but it's going to cost more than we're currently paying through DH's job.

I'm so disappointed. I really needed someone as good and patient as she sounds.
