Can I tell you about my saturday night....ugh...UPDATED
Sooooo...
We had our block party this Saturday and all was going well. We were having a great time, DS was being really good and luckily for us it was only family there because...
I started bleeding heavy bright red blood out of nowhere. The office had already closed and my doc told me to go the the ER to get checked out and get a sono. I'm 11wks.
Went to the ER and was thru triage and registration very quickly. Checked in at 7:22pm. 7...yes you heard me right...7 HOURS later I was finally released. Baby was ok, bleeding in uterus but not sure why, and I was slightly dehydrated.
I have to go follow up with the doc tomorrow but that was one of the longest nights in a long, long time! I didn't get home til 2:45am!!!
Thank god sprout was ok and the bleeding has pretty much stopped (just spotting) but that was CRAZY!!!

Update: Went to the doc, sprout is doing well, strong HB and the doc couldn't give a reason for the bleeding but said everything looked fine...whew

Anytime there's bleeding its so scary and nerve wrecking!!! so glad baby is ok!

Yikes! Sorry you had to go through that. Glad to hear everything with your LO is ok, and hope everything continues in the right direction.
I had spotting about 5 weeks ago and it was the scariest few days!

sorry to hear, but glad everything is OK!! although 7 hours in the ER for any issue sounds pretty average!!

I would have been scared too. That sucks that you had to spend all night in the ER, But at least you got a sono out of it and peace of mind that you and baby are ok!

the sme exact thing happened to me on the 4th of July. Bright, heavy red blood was pouring out of me, sorry TMI, and we rushed to the ER. LO was ok, but it was the scariest thing ever. For me, the heavy bleeding lasted for a couple of hours and then went on to become spotting - which didn't go away for another 3 weeks. The spotting was literally every single day. They couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from, all they could guess was that it as old period blood and as your uterus stretches out, it dislodges and you bleed.
Good Luck today with your Dr's appointment!

Glad all is ok now. So weird when they can't find the cause of the bleeding. I started bleeding heavily at 37 weeks with twins. So much I was going through multiple pads . They never found the reason and since I was so close they just delivered me. Both babies were fine thank god. But I still think about it!

I had a lot of bleeding with DS (super heavy with lots of clots...tmi) and they could never really give me a real reason other then "it happens"
