Can you recommend arts and crafts for a 18m old?

DS has playdoh and crayons now. I'm thinking of picking up some finger paint and some paint brushes.

DS loves arts and crafts, I have to keep his crayon/marker box hidden because if he sees it, he wants it!

We do finger painting a lot, I make the paints from vanilla pudding and add some food coloring because DS will end up eating someChat Icon

He loves chalk and dry erase markers.

We do collages with those foam stickers, I peel off the back and he sticks them down.

I have been trying to teach him to cut, but he hasn't gotten the swing of that just yet (he is 20 months)

Foam stickers! Great idea!

What a great idea! I've never heard of these before.

This looks messy though. maybe we will do it outside only.

Re: Can you recommend arts and crafts for a 18m old?

have you tried yogurt fingerpainting?? -its easier than paint and not as worrysome if they lick it, etc. (you can add a tiny bit of food coloring to plain yogurt or use flavored yogurts for different colors) I've heard you can do it with pudding too. Chat Icon

i love color wonder products, but they can be $$ over time! (you can get them on sale at trus every so often b1g1)

i'v done shaving cream painting as well, if you add elmers glue, it makes it puffy and will dry really neat (again, if you use food coloring it will be nice too!!)

not sure how much your dc will stick in their mouth, but there are so many fun things you can do!!!Chat Icon
