Can you recommend your convertible car seat that is good for rear facing?
9m DS is quickly outgrowing his infant car seat. Looking for a convertible car seat that is good for rear facing.
When older DS was 1, we were living in Manhattan. He rarely rode the car and if he did, he was forward facing already since the guidelines didn't change yet back then.

We are going with the evenflo symphony for the twins! My friend has one in her DH's car for her DD (5 months) and she loves it! We originally bought the Safety 1st Air complete car seats but returned them as we were not comfortable with the way the installed rear facing. For some cars you have to put a foam noodle or towel underneath it. Now we're just waiting to get another 20% off coupon from BRU!

Britax, any of them can do rear facing, some are bigger than others so may work better with the size of your car. Both of our DS's are in Marathons.

DD was rear facing in a Graco My Ride 65 until 22months. I LOVED it and we only turned her because she wanted to see more. It's not a small seat by any means, but it's secure and comfy. I HIGHLY suggest it!

DD is rear facing in a Britax Marathon and will be for another year. I have nothing to compare it to (other than infant seat), but so far, no complaints!

DD is rear facing in her britax advocate at 2 years old. I think we will turn her soon. Comfy seat, but really big. In hindsight, I may have bought the marathon instead. I thought more expensive/bigger = safer. Not necessarily true.

Re: Can you recommend your convertible car seat that is good for rear facing?
We received a Radian Sunshine Kids car seat as a shower gift. It was expensive and something that I just "threw on" thinking no one would buy it. DS went right into it after the infant carrier and only yesterday (DS is 26 months) did we turn the seat around. It is nice because it is compact and folds so you can take it with you. DH and my mom have the Graco 65 in their cars. It is a much bigger car seat but DS has never complained in either.

Re: Can you recommend your convertible car seat that is good for rear facing?
we have 3 different car seats- a britax marathon, a britax boulevard and a graco my ride 65- DS doesnt seem to like the Britax ones that much- he doesnt utter a peep in the myride- I think its because its so cushiony and comfortable-- at least it looks like it is!
