Cannot stop worrying
I probably sound like a broken record. I can't say it to my DH anymore bc he tells me to stop worrying..
I am 14 wks. Everything was fine at my 11 wk appt and the 12 wk NT scan. But yet I can't stop worrying! I do not feel like my body is changing AT ALL, I never really had m/s so that's nothing...
I don't know if I am just in an awkward stage or what...
I mean the way I see it, in 2 weeks I will be 4 months pregnant...and I still look like I did pre-preggo!
I have an appt. Tuesday so let's see what he says...
I don't know.

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I hate to say this but you will never stop worrying until you are holding your baby in your arms, and even then a whole new set of worrying takes over.
Try to think about how far you've come and the tests that have been done already! I know a ton of people who didn't look pregnant until 20 weeks!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I feel the same way , and i have a small baby bump already. I think I won't stop worrying until the baby is in my arms , and then I am sure I will come up with a whole list of other things to worry about

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I have seen plenty of girls who did not show til later in the pregnancy. AS long as all your appts have been going well, try not to worry as much.
We will all worry until that baby is here, so know you are not alone!!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
Worrying is part of this whole experience.....everytime I use the bathroom, I check the tissue paper.....
I also didn't show till I was 5 months preggo and had no symptoms of being pregnant other than breaking out a little!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I was the same way until I felt the baby kick and even then I was a worry wart until delivery, then those worries took over, then he was born and there was a whole new set of worries. Any semblance of normalcy is over - if you were a worrywart before, just wait ! I keep waiting for it to slow down - NOPE!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
you sound exactly like me...I cant stop worrying either. I feel like i look the same and feel basically not pregnant. My DH also always just says, everything is fine, nothing to worry about. But of course I do worry. I am terrified for my level 2 on Saturday. I dont think we will ever stop worrying now that we are going to be mommys.

Re: Cannot stop worrying
First off NEVEr feel bad for venting! That is what we are here for! I think it is more normal then we tend to think for women to worry about every little movement and pinch in pregnancy. I cannot lie even as I approach the end I still wonder sometimes if they are moving too little...too much....you keep searching for that mucus plug LOL..etc...As far as the looking pregnant I can tell you first hand that even at the middle to end of my 2nd trimester I still looked like I had swallowed just a small ball..I gained weight but all in the belly....Now I only wish I looked like I did pre-preg.!...All of a sudden one day you will wake up and really start to notice your body has changed dramatically!...Some of us just "grow" slower...I always asked my Dr. how my weight gain was in terms of statistics and as long as the Dr. is happy you are doing the right thing!....We are here for you whenever you feel worried....sometimes the DH just doesn't get it!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I wouldn't worry. All of your doctor visits say your fine. Some people don't show for a while. I am just three months as of this week and I wish I had a little baby belly too! No m/s is a good thing!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I didn't start showing until I was 5 months and I worried in the beginning. But with every day that went by without incident I felt better.
Also, I would suggest getting a stork radio. This way you can hear the heart beat when you get nervous and it will calm you down right away. I think I got mine around 14 weeks.
Hang in there!

Re: Cannot stop worrying
You can make yourself crazy analyzing the way OTHER people look and feel - and reading books and websites telling you 'at week X you'll feel A B and C and you'll look like D" .......but it doesn't work that way -
Every single person has a completely different pregnancy experience. Everyone's symptoms are different - I don't think there's anything "typical" about a pregnancy ........
Other than being a complete narcoleptic in the 1st trimester - I didn't feel ANY different at all .........I have had zero symptoms the 2nd and 3rd tri other than having to pee on demand, and finally feeling him kick ........and I didn't start showing, REALLY obvioiusly showing until I was about 25 weeks ....
Don't make yourself crazy !! My Dr and my DH BOTH told me the same thing over and over - IF God forbid something was ever wrong, your body will absolutely let you know .........

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I didnt get m/s with either pregnancy and my body didnt gain weight or change until ( 20 weeks with my 1st, and 16 weeks with this baby)
Its so hard not to worry.... there is ALWAYS something to worry about (and it doesnt stop one they are born)
Have you considered renting a doppler??? That always helps me, when I start getting worried...I listen to my little ones heartbeat and it confirms all is well..
I rent mine from babybeat.com I know some others use www.hearttones.com

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I did not have m/s and it took me a while to start wearing maternity clothes. I am in my 7th month and people still sometimes don't realize I am PG. I was also chubby to begin with. Try not to worry too much. I am sure everything is fine with your baby.

Re: Cannot stop worrying
I totally know how you feel. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I actually lost 14 pounds my first tri! I started wearing maternity clothes fully about 20 weeks. As hard as it is, enjoy it now! Soon enough, you'll be ready for the child to come out.

Re: Cannot stop worrying
If its any consolation , a few weeks ago I was worrying that my belly wasnt growing enough. I went to my doc for an apt and the second he saw my belly he said "boy you're filling out nicely", so then I began to worry that I was gaining too much
