Car repair question-Is this a good price?
So DH tore the sideview mirror off his car  Our mechanic gave us a price of $200 for the part and installation. Is that a good price?
I think I'm going to check with our auto body place also.

this happened to my car in 2007 -(mercury sable) - it was a hit and run. parts and installation was $100 cash
eta: it was a power mirror - driver's side.

is it a manual or powered window? If it has electric to it, I think the price is right.

I had to pay $230 for my car's mirror to be replaced. That was for the part, installation, and paint. (They could only find one in white and my car is black.)
That was for power mirrors.

Ask around junk yards or have the repair place call for you. IT could be a lot less if you don't have to order a new one.

ITA! I did this for a few parts for DH's car. The junkyard was much less!
