Car Seat Chris is Back
Sorry for my absence but family and work kept me away - am willing to assist with Car Seat questions and helping with installations again.

Re: Car Seat Chris is Back
I have a question. I have twin 4-almost 5 yr old boys. They have the Graco high back booster in one car and are basically grown out of their Britax Marathons due to height. We need additional boosters: They weigh 45 and 48 lbs and are both around 46" My requirements:
High Back, 5 point harness Converts to a regular booster(desirable but not required) Great safety ratings Comfortable
Also-I have been reading that latch has a max weight limit of 50 lbs. Is this true? Should these seats be installed with the seatbelt and top tether?

What is the age and weight the child? For the most part if you do not want to spend the money on a higher end seat like a Britax, the Graco line works the best in that car - try the Classic Ride 50.

Car Seat Chris is Back
Looking for Convertible Car Seat recs... we need one for each of three cars:
Nissan Maxima Volkswagen Tiguan Toyota Rav4
We have one Britax Pavillion 70G3, would that be ok in any of those cars? Any advice on the Maxi-Cosi Pria?
We are looking to move DS over next month, he'll be 7 months, right now he is 18lbs.

Pavillion in the Maxima - Maxi Cosi is not a good choice - I would go Britax Marathon or Boulevard for the VW and Rav4 - Pavilion and Advocate will not work well with them as well as Maxi Cosi. Now if you did not have the Pavillion then I would say Maxi Cosi would work in Maxima but it does not in the other two.

Thanks, I wondered about the Pria bc a friend of mine said it fit better in her smaller car and there is so little room in my husband's Rav with a car seat back there, we actually can't have anyone sit in the front passenger seat! Is the Pria just not as safe? Looks like we'll be sticking with Britax for all three. Thanks again!!
