I had a Jeep and the 2 car seats fit just fine but I had to get rid of it due to mechanical problems.

We couldn't afford a big car payment so I looked into a Kia Sorento 2011...LOVE LOVE LOVE it (did I mention that I LOVE it). It has everything in it and a 3rd row not the mention it has a great warranty.

If you can get over the idea of owning a Kia then I would definitely check out this car.

So to answer your question, you can swing a 5 passenger vehicle just fine with 2 carseats. We only went to a 7 passenger because we plan on keeping this car for awhile and want to expand to 3 children.

DH commutes with a Nissan Altima and picks the kids up from daycare with it. We manage - but it's tight.

I have a Toyota 4 Runner (older one) and it's great.

When the Altima lease is up in a few months we'll be getting a minivan.

We have a 2010 Ford Edge (5 passenger) and although we LOVE it, if I'm being completely honest, it's just not big enough.
Right now we have a convertible car seat in there, an infant car seat (the same one you have) and the double stroller in the trunk. We're not completely out of room because we can still fit a small adult between the 2 car seats, but it gets cramped. HTH.

Currently I have 4 car seats in the vehicle and it's not uncommon for me to have 5.
