When you in the car with your children Radio question
Do you keep your radio stations on and sing or do you switch and put on there music??? DD is 15 months

For the longest time we would listen to the kids cds when we were in the car, but that got boring after a while. Now we swtich between my stations, radio disneyCDs, and the ipod. MY DD are 5 and 3 years old now.

I like to start off with my music but we have a long car ride to work(~1 hr-she goes to daycare in a building where I work) so if she gets cranky I turn this sesame street characters singing kids songs cd and I hear not a peep! She usually sleeps most of the way home so I can listen to regular music. I really am amazed at how she can tell which is kiddy music and which is not. She is 11 months.
ETA: I have to get more kiddy cd's for more variety and I hope the sesame street one is not the only one she likes!

We listen to our stations, depending on whose driving it's different music. When I drive DS hears hip-hop and pop stations, when DH drives it's classic rock. I think DS likes mine best.
We have a couple of DS's CDs in the car in case he throws a fit.

ditto. sometimes he's fine with my music, but he'll start to fuss for a moment I'll switch to his CD. Then he's happy again.
There's no way he lets me listen to the news at all anymore either. I like 1010 to get some updates on news or traffic. Kind of glad this daycare is closer to the house now b/c he's not in the car with me as long. Drop him off and sometimes I'm still listening to his CD singing along and realize he's not there so I can change it

I try listening to my music stations (or Howard) for a while and then if DD gets antsy or doesn't fall asleep I put on her music... the Enchanted CD - which she loves!

As a baby I played a lot of rockabye baby cd's...
now I keep my music on & she likes to rock out to Pearl Jam (especially Corduroy)...& the other day she sang 'despite all my rage I'm still just a rat in a cage' when I was singing along to Smashing Pumpkins lol

But the only thing she asks for when driving is "Ma-EEN" which means Submarine .... as in the Yellow Submarine! hahaha
I listen to oldie channels, soft rock and the mornings its on the local version of Z100 (but not as good, ha)

Back and forth. When they get antsy I put on their music. Now my sons music consists of Bad Romance, Tick Tock, and Single Ladies...so it's not that bad

EXACTLY the same with us. I have Eminem in now (have for a while now) and when DH and i are together it's usually angry white boy music
She's still young though (that's my excuse)
