Can anyone either sum up the phone calls played by LJB or provide a web link that has info on them? I missed them. Thanks.
She played the phone call from Casey to her mom from jail and all she was doing was asking for tony's number. Lee her mom and another girl got on and asked her why she was lying etc. Casey got p.ssdd that everyone was worried about Caylee and not her.
Thanks. She's unreal.

Anyone have any idea why they have tried to pin this on her father?

Probably because that's the next 'shady' thing besides her so that's the only thing they can do to get focus off of her.

Re: Casey Anthony trial 1/2 hour n counting.
If anyone wants to listen to the rebuttal, from LDB, I suggest listening to it, it was AWESOME IMO...and her ending was perfect. I think its on the site
http://www.wftv.com/caseyanthony/index.html
(video clips are on the bottom)
I can't wait for a verdict...for some reason when I took DD swimming today I got SO upset thinking someone could do that to their little baby. I was crying to my DH...listening to all of that and thinking of doing those acts against an innocent baby....
I hope its guilty on all accounts and their verdict comes back soon

Probably because he was no longer supporting her BS lies like Cindy was.

Re: Casey Anthony trial 1/2 hour n counting.
6 hours and counting for deliberations. Jury members did not even look at CA today when they came in to see the judge for morning instructions
eta: Baez showed up late to court and missed the jury coming in and out of the courtroom
I have never wanted a guilty verdict more than I do in this case.
I almost broke down yesterday when LDB mentioned Caylee's birthday was the same as my Ryan I hadn't realized that before

3 of the jurors are dressed in formal business attire and haven't been before... Thinking maybe for the after verdict news conference.

Re: Casey Anthony trial 1/2 hour n counting.
Judging by some of the responses on this thread plus the fact that I'm coming in a little late on this, I have a feeling no one is going to care about this comment, but here it is anyway:
I don't understand why the prosecution got to speak twice in closing arguments. I think that gives them an unfair advantage.
Either side has had the appropriate chances to object and speak their minds during deposition, trial, etc. For the closing, each side should be allowed to just say their piece and then that's it.
I'm just being an armchair lawyer here, so if anyone is more familiar with the field, I'd love to hear a logical, persuasive reason why the prosecution should get a chance to rebut. It just doesn't seem fair at all.

Each gets the same allotted amount of time (here it was 4hrs). State used about an hour, then defense used about 4hrs and then state went for another 2hrs. So they get the same amount of time. The rebuttal is NOT another closing argument but only a rebuttal of the facts/arguments the defense used. The state has the burden of proof so it seems fair that they can rebut the defense. Same amount of time though.
There are rules they BOTH agreed to for the closing arguments/rebuttal....so they can object if they think the other counsel is not following the rules, but otherwise they have to let them have the floor.

Because it's the State's case. I forget the exact verbage the defense used to explain it. If you go watch the video Baez gives the reason.

These notes are crazy!!! Why wasn't any of this brought into closing arguments? The longer this goes on, the more nervous I'm getting that they're having a hard time getting one or two people to agree. If this thing is hung I will lose it

Re: Casey Anthony trial 1/2 hour n counting.
Yeah actually, if there is proof she told someone she used to chloroform Caylee, why couldn't that be used in court? It doesn't make sense... Was this a detective who talked to her on 1/2010 or a therapist of some sort or what?

Maybe that is what it's supposed to be but it sure did sound to me like another chance at a closing argument. She appealed to the jury in what I found to be a general way, that did more than just rebut certain points of the defense.
I didn't realize about the time, though, so thank you.
