Cell phone upgrade Verizon
My 2-yr contract was up on 5/30. I'm eligible for a new phone. My current phone isn't perfect (doesn't store contacts) but I only call 2-3 ppl anyway so it doesn't matter. I would like to upgrade when the iPhone 6 comes out in the fall/winter. If I wait to upgrade then does my 2 yr contract start then and not 5/30 2016? Am I able to sign another 2 yr agreement NOW and wait to upgrade in 6 months?

Yes, our phones have been eligible since March for upgrades but we haven't signed off on the agreement so were getting a $30/mo credit until we do.

Your new contract starts the day you do the upgrade. You are on a month to month the day after your contract expires.

May I ask what the credit is for? Does Verizon offer the credit to anyone that has an expired contract? Mine was just up at the end of May and I'm debating what to do..

I honestly didn't do anything  I got a text one day saying I was getting the credit.
But I upgraded yesterday so no more credit 
Definitely CALL or go to the Verizon store by Smithhaven and ask for Brad - super super helpful.
I have three lines and it's $10 credit per line.

Credit? We have been out of contract for years and don't get any credit  I feel like we pay way too much for our phones.

Credits (as in the give you a few extra bucks to get a new phone at the already discounted rate) expired and was stopped at least a year + ago.
You will be month to month at the same rate as your contract until you pick a new phone. At time of new phone, you will get the lower price as you are re-signing up for a new contract. If you get a phone now, when iPhone6 comes out, you will have to pay the full price of the phone to upgrade. I would wait....
