Re: Changing table vs. using a dresser as a changing table.
We're using a dresser. I feel like a changing table is a waste of furniture, space, and money. Once we are done with it, it's garbage. Plus the space will be available on top of the dresser anyway. And, our nursery is small, so we can use every inch of space. So for us it was a no-brainer.

Cool. I was leaning towards using a dresser for the same reasons you ladies stated. Didnt really know if there was a point to the changing table only. Which dresser are you girls getting?

I have hand me down furniture from my SIL. There is a dresser w/a changing station on it. Once the babes doesnt need the changing station anymore, it comes off.

I have the baby Cache essentials set. There is plenty of room on it to put a chaning pad. It's nice and can last I think,.

Re: Changing table vs. using a dresser as a changing table.
I'm in the minority, but I have a changing table and I love it! I had planned to have the pad on top of the dresser, but I got the changing table at my shower and I can't imagine life without it. I love the open storage it has to keep diapers, wipes, the diaper genie refills, etc. Just a thought!

we have a dresser/changer combo.
This is what I have. It was part of a set. Crib, changing table/changer and tall dresser. I'm confused with the question. Do you mean using a regular dresser, not part of a nursery set as the changing table. Or do you mean one of those chaning tables that are pretty much just a stand with a pad on top and some open storage. The one I have is a dresser, which is what comes with most nursery set. This is what I haveImage Attachment(s):

This is what I have done thru 2 kids so far. I have a diaper depot and wipes warmer next to it. It's worked out perfectly for me.

I think this is the one we have for the boys. Honestly, we NEVER even used the changing part. We always changed them on the PNP when they were babies and now just change them on the bed/ couch/ floor.

Dresser with the changing table on top... no room for another piece of furniture.

Ohhh, this is beautiful!!!! I mean using a reg. dresser (not necessarily part of a set) and just putting a changing pad on the top to use as a changing table.
